I am currently an LA Governor and have been the Chair of Governors for 5 years. I am also the Chair of the Finance Committee. I was previously a parent governor at London Meed for 7 years. I am a Local Board member at The Burgess Hill Academy. I have lived in Burgess Hill for 31 years and have 2 children who both attended London Meed. The eldest is at Sixth form and the youngest at Secondary School. To support the school’s Post Ofsted Action Plan I am the governor responsible for the Ofsted judgements of Personal Development and Behaviour and Attitudes.
I am a Chartered Accountant and have also worked in Marketing and Strategic Development.

Co-opted Governor and Vice Chair
I have been a Co-opted Governor at London Meed for five years. I have 2 grand children at London Meed and as a retired Primary Head teacher I hope that I contribute both expertise and enthusiasm to the school. I am currently Vice Chair and the governor responsible for Early Years, Safeguarding and AFL.

I am a Co-opted Governor and am also the Mayor of Burgess Hill. I am responsible for monitoring Maths at London Meed and I am also a member of the finance committee. My background is in finance.

Mrs Mary Chambers
Co-opted Governor
I am Co-opted Governor and grandparent of a child at London Meed School. I am responsible for Early Years Foundation Stage, Health and Safety and Assessment for Learning. As a retired Primary Headteacher from Brighton and Hove I enjoy having the opportunity to share my expertise in my Governor role.

Parent Governor
I am a parent governor with one child at London Meed. I am a primary school Deputy Head teacher and am the governor responsible for Assessment for Learning and Reading.

Mrs Eve Cole
Co-opted Governor
I am a retired Secondary Advanced Skills teacher. In this role, I was part of the leadership team at a large successful school in SE London and the Borough Advisor for my subject. I have five grandchildren, of whom two are pupils at the school.
I have been a Governor at London Meed for three years. I am the Link Governor responsible for coordinating Governor training. Under the Post Ofsted Action Plan, I am responsible for overseeing Phonics and Curriculum planning.

Parent Governor
I have two children. My eldest who attended London Meed is now at Secondary School . My other child is currently in Year 5 at London Meed. I have worked in local government and education for the last 17 years. I am part of the finance sub- committee and am responsible for Leadership and Management.

Co-opted Governor
I am a Co-opted Governor, previously an LA governor. I became a governor when I retired from teaching and moved to Sussex. I am the governor for SEND and Pupil Premium.

I have been Deputy Head and a member of the governing body at London Meed for over 6 years. I have recently become Acting Head teacher.

I am a Year 6 class teacher as well as the Mathematics Lead at London Meed. I have two teenage girls who both attended London Meed. I have recently joined the governing body as a Staff governor

Ms Nikki Palethorpe
Associate Governor
I have recently joined the Governing Board as a Staff Governor. I have worked at London Meed for 16 years in various roles and I am currently a Year 5 class teacher with responsibility for PSHE. All of my children have attended London Meed.

Associate Governor
As well as being the School Business Manager at London Meed, I am a parent with a child in KS1. I have an older child who left London Meed 6 years ago and was also an active member of the LMA when he attended, so I have been involved with London Meed for over 11 years. I am the governor responsible for PR, Marketing and the Curriculum.
